Among the many treasures that the University of South Carolina has to offer is a little known housing option called Nada. Nada is the home of a few dozen foreign exchange students and their American hosts. Nada boasts an impressive degree of diversity with countries being represented from as far away as South Africa, Japan, and a host of European countries! This web site is dedicated to the past, present, and future residents of Nada and too anyone interested in multiculturalism. The name Nada is derived from the builder of the house and is not an acronym for international housing. Being as diverse as Nada is there is always something new to explore. The diversity between the political, cultural and social and economical backgrounds of Nada's students gives them the rare opportunity to live with and get to know people from several different backgrounds. This opportunity is a rare one indeed! Also Nada offers several activities that are open to the public throughout each and every semester to showcases the diversity that Nada's global community has to offer! Some of the events that Nada has held in the past or participated in include; City Year, Nada gallery, MLK volunteer day, treasure hunts, haunted houses, cookouts and numerous other activities including intramural sports. Nada also makes charitable donations to local organizations with funds they raise at some of these events!
